House Democrats have published a additional set of what they labeled "troubling" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 unveiled later on Friday represent a small number of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House investigative panel, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The fallen money manager died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking charges.
Among the high-profile individuals seen in the opening set are celebrities including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of selectively "hand-picking" the images for partisan aims and to "attempt to fabricate a false narrative."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson stated, insisting that "this presidency has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging transparency, releasing numerous documents of records, and urging additional probes into Epstein's Democratic associates."
The images were published devoid of explanation, but per a California Democrat and ranking member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House concealment and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he stated in a statement.
The release of these images occurs alongside the House panel pressing on with its investigation into the affair.
