Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A plane ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event is not the first time that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to return to Washington after suffering a mechanical fault.
