British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, Nigerian authorities confirmed on late Wednesday. The athlete was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on Monday, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his team members.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

This update on his health comes as the sports world had expressed sympathy for the champion in the following the heartbreaking incident.
