The tall defender A nuisance from dead balls, as always, perhaps is a replacement for Stones in defense rather than paired with him. One wayward distribution later in the match almost led to a goal from the visitors. 6
Nico O’Reilly One more composed display by the youngster after his debut against Serbia. A teammate did not capitalize on full advantage of a clever touch over the Albania defence. His position is his to lose already. Seven

Declan Rice Deliveries from dead balls and free kicks created chances. Had room to move on the left yet found himself offside upon receiving with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned break on the hour mark. Six
The star midfielder Functioned in an advanced spot out wide while also contributed with dirty work. Showed flashes of quality but scuffed a shot high. Replaced towards the end for a teammate, his competition, after being booked. 7/10
Jarrod Bowen Had England’s best chance of the first half, his shot well saved by Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate staying deep, he had to stretch the play out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline varied in quality. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6
The captain The decisive figure with his 77th and 78th finishes in an England shirt. The opener a trademark opportunist's goal and his next an excellent header having drifted away away from the opposition. At 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament with him leading the line. 8/10
The attacker Struggled to get into the game out wide. Was presented with a good opening following a pass by Bellingham but the keeper denied him. His replacement made much more of effect in his place. 5/10
