Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced passing more hours together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, commenting that he cannot recall "any day without laughter".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official ruled to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the cases to limit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities shared varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive claims that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan described the remarks as "disappointing" and implied they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser could have intervened when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
