Trump's Granddaughter Receives Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for major tournament

This young athlete has substantial online audience

Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent backers as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and often plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she stated.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He practically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with running the country, making him quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

Yet she can get advice from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.

"He is the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He told me to go out there, relax, adapting to whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in women's golf at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials stated that her participation helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically reaching youth audiences.

The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and just introduced a personal fashion and living brand.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
