Ukrainian authorities have declared the start of large-scale manufacturing for a new locally engineered interceptor drone to enhance its aerial protection systems. The first three producers have started production, with 11 more getting ready to establish assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials stated this past Friday.
The drones utilize a nationally created technology known as “Octopus” engineered to intercept Shahed drones. This technology has been tested in combat and demonstrated effective “during nighttime, under jamming and at low altitudes,” the ministry stated. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established an ambitious goal of manufacturing as many as 1,000 interceptors each day.
